It also hosts the only Roman hippodrome known in Portugal. The site has a <a class=\"foobox fbx-instance fbx-link\" href=\"http:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/MIROBRIGA-1.jpg\" rel=\"gallery[483]\" data-attachment-id=\"376\">reception and visitor centre and a thematic exhibition room<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Next you should visit the <a class=\"foobox fbx-instance fbx-link\" href=\"http:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/Museu.jpg\" rel=\"gallery[483]\" data-attachment-id=\"376\">Municipal Museum<\/a>, sited in the former prison, and continue on towards the <a class=\"foobox fbx-instance fbx-link\" href=\"http:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/Santiago_Cacem_Rio_Figueira_01.jpg\" rel=\"gallery[485]\" data-attachment-id=\"381\">Rio da Figueira Country Park<\/a>, where you will find the Quinta do Conde de Avillez (the Count of Avillez\u2019s former villa), with a garden, picnic area and pools, forming a real leisure venue that should be enjoyed.<\/p>\n<p>Here, we recommend taking a break for a snack: <a class=\"foobox fbx-instance fbx-link\" href=\"http:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/queijos.jpg\" rel=\"gallery[486]\" data-caption-title=\"DCF 1.0\" data-attachment-id=\"383\">Alentejo bread with local cheese<\/a>, spread with <a class=\"foobox fbx-instance fbx-link\" href=\"http:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/mel.jpg\" rel=\"gallery[487]\" data-caption-title=\"DCF 1.0\" data-attachment-id=\"384\">honey or traditional jams<\/a>, or hot, with olive oil and sugar, the so-called <em>tiborna<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>For dinner&#8230;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For dinner, we recommend local <a href=\"https:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/en\/gastronomy-and-restaurants\/#santiago\">restaurants<\/a> where you can enjoy a delicious and refined meal, accompanied by a fine <a class=\"foobox fbx-instance fbx-link\" href=\"http:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/HERDADE_DO_CEBOLAL-1.jpg\" rel=\"gallery[488]\" data-attachment-id=\"385\">local wine<\/a>, red or white.
