The main objective is to boost the local economy through a product of recognized quality as a local gastronomic heritage &#8211; the tomato -, but also promote gastronomy.<br \/>\nThe dishes available to the visitors were all made with Alvalade tomato, produced by members of Alensado, CRL, which made available for this edition about 800kg of this agricultural product grown in the parish since 1959.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1212 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/Festival-do-tomate4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/Festival-do-tomate4.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/Festival-do-tomate4-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/turismo.cm-santiagocacem.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/Festival-do-tomate4-325x217.jpg 325w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The restaurants were mostly full, either for lunch or dinner. The main objective was achieved and promoted this product that is fundamental in the parish of Alvalade, as well as the restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>There were five establishments that provided delicacies based on the tomato: Churrasqueira da Mimosa Restaurant, S\u00e3o Sebasti\u00e3o da Mimosa Restaurant; Snack bar The Messias; Bar Snack Bar Firemen; Alentejo Restaurant.
